Charkilik (Ruoqiang) / Cherchen (Qiemo) / Khotan / Yarkand / Kashgar / Turpan / Urumqi.

Day 01: Beijing

Arrive at Beijing, welcome reception at the airport and transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day is free on your own.

Day 02: Beijing

Full day visit to Badaling Great Wall to have a leisurely stroll at some of its 5000kms. PM visit to Summer Palace.

Day 03: Beijing / Lanzhou by Flight

Morning visit to Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven, afternoon flight to Lanzhou.

Day 04: Lanzhou / Labrang

Drive to Liu jia xia reservoir and to have a boat trip to visit Bing ling caves, drive via Linxia Muslim town to Labrang (Xiahe Tibetan region) for overnight.

Day 05: Lanrang / Tongren

AM visit to the Labrang Monastery Complex, PM drive to Tongren city in Qinghai provice for overnight.

Day 06: Tongren / Xining

AM visit to Longwu Monastery, Tibetan Buddhist Art Institute where they make Tang Ka, enjoy the Tibetan Rebkong Art etc. PM drive to Xining, the capital of Qinghai province through Xunhua Sala Muslim town.

Day 07: Xining / Zhangye

Visit to the Ta’er Monastery (Kumbum), then drive to north to Zhangye over the Qilian Shan Mountains.

Day 08: Zhangye / Jiayuguan

Morning visit to Grand Buddha Temple, Erath Tower, Wood Tower etc, afternoon drive to Jiayuguan.

Day 09: Jiayuguan / Dunhuang

AM visit to the Jiayuguan Fort and the Hanging Great wall, PM drive to Dunhuang where oasis meets the desert.

Day 10: Dunhuang

Visit to the Mingsha sand hills to have a camel ride to Crescent Moon Lake. afternoon visit to Mogao Grottoes, the World heritage site, late afternoon, wandering around Dunhuang Night Market.

Day 11: Dunhuang / Mang’ai

Full day drive to Mang’ai (Huatugou) along the northern edge of Chaidam Basin in Qinghai provice.

Day 12: Mang’ai / Charkilik

Drive further to the west to Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Arrive at Charkilik (Ruo qiang) through famous archilogical site Miran along the Southern Silk Road.

Day 13: Charkilik / Cherchen

Drive to Cherchen (Qie mo). It is not a long drive today on the good paved road but we may have some short walks over the sand dunes and among the desert poplars. Stop at some small villages en route also can be a part of our tour today.

Day 14: Cherchen
/ Khotan
Drive along the south rim of the Taklamakan Desert to Khotan with en route lunch stop at Niya

Day 15: Khotan / Yarkand

AM visit to family craftsmanship at Khotan for carpet, silk etc, visit to Jade Bazaar at the bed of White Jade (Yorongkash) River, PM drive to Yarkand, the capital city of Sa'ed Kingdom in 16th Century.

Day 16: Yarkand / Kashgar
Morning visit to Mausoleum of Queen and Musician Amannisa Khan and Royal cemetery of

Yarkand Sa'ed Kingdom, visit to Yarkand Bazaar and Old Town. After lunch, drive to Kashgar, the pearl of the ancient Silk Road.

Day 17: Kashgar

Today our main objective is the legendary Kashgar Sunday Bazaar where each Sunday the country comes to town at the colorful covered Bazaar as villagers and towns people mix to trade, barter and buy, visit to Mausoleum of Abakhoja, a venerated Sufi leader lived in 17th century. Abakhoja Mausoleum was also named Fragrant Concubine Tomb (Xiang Fei Mu). In the afternoon visit to old streets of Kashgar which were hidden behind the main roads and historic Eidkah Mosque, built in 1442 and still China's largest mosque.

Day 18: Kashgar / Urumqi / Turpan

Morning flight to Urumqi, visit to Int'l Grand Bazaar, after lunch, drive along the express highway to Turpan.

Day 19: Turpan / Urumqi

Visit to Jiaohe ancient city which was under the protection of UNESCO, visit to Underground irrigation system of Turpan - Karez Wells and the Emin minaret which was built in 1777, drive back to Urumqi. fare well dinner tonight.

Day 20: Urumqi depart

Transfer to airport for departure flight.
